Latchford Baptist Church

Baptist
Congregation: 20 adults (0 under 18)

Latchford Baptist Church is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive church, with a current worshipping community of up to 30 people. Our mission is to share the love of Christ with those around us. We meet for worship every Sunday morning and run a weekly wellbeing café for use by our community every Tuesday morning, called Renew With a Brew. In addition our premises are also used by community groups, a Latvian Church (WCF Jēzuski Khangeri) and Jesus Christ International Ministries (JCIM). We are constantly looking for ways of increasing our links with our local community and keen for our building to be used for this. There are good kitchen and toilet facilities and a hall that can be hired by outside groups, all with access for the disabled.

Worship & Services

Morning Worship
Sunday, 10:45
We have a variety of styles of service: some formal, some more informal, but all in a relaxed style. We usually celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
Prayer meeting (Fortnightly)
Tuesday, 10:00
A time of open prayer held in the church prayer room prior to the Renew With a Brew session. Held fortnightly alternating with the Home Group
Renew With a Brew - wellbeing cafe
Tuesday, 10:30
All adults are welcome to our wellbeing cafe any Tuesday between 10:30 and 12:30 - a place where it is OK to not be OK. We provide free hot drinks and cake/biscuits and there is always lots of friendly chat. Some of our guests also choose to join in with games and crafts or help with a jigsaw. There is an optional prayer space in a separate room for those who want it.
Midweek Home Group (Fortnightly)
Wednesday, 19:30
Meetings are led by a member of the congregation. We read the Bible, discuss its meaning for today, often with the guide of a Bible study book, and pray for our world, our community, our church and one another. We are currently meeting in the church prayer room. Held fortnightly alternating with the Prayer Meeting
Hymns & Songs:
We use a wide range of songs – traditional hymns, newer songs and hymns, and those written in the last few years.
Main Bible:
New International Version
