Swanton Abbott Community Chapel

Evangelical
Congregation: 30 adults (3 under 18)

We are an informal, friendly, welcoming church family, who love and follow Jesus. We are an independent evangelical church, with a passion to help others encounter Jesus.

Located in a small rural village, with a wonderful community feel, we welcome all.

You don’t need a faith to come on a Sunday. Come with your questions. Come and see what we do and what we believe.

We have disabled access and a disabled toilet, baby changing facilities, younger children's play area, and a well stocked kitchen to provide you with a welcoming cuppa!

Join us at 11am every Sunday.

Outreach, Activities & Ministries

Local Outreach & Community Activities
Coffee On The Corner (our community café) is open on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Free refreshments for all. 10.30am - 12 noon (including table quiz activities, and a book/jigsaw swap table some weeks). Don't spend Tuesday mornings alone. Why not pop in, enjoy a coffee, homemade cakes, warm sausage rolls, and get to know us?
Other Activities & Ministries
Our Life Groups meets Tuesday 7pm - 9pm. This are a special opportunity to meet together, enjoy refreshments, do a deeper bible study, share life experiences, pray for one another, and get to know one another better. All are welcome. Just ask for more details.

Alpha courses run regularly at the chapel. These evenings are an opportunity to ask questions about the Christian faith, and find out more, in an informal and relaxed setting with refreshments. There's no charge. Join our waiting list for the next one!

On the 5th Sunday of the month, we often have a more informal expression of church, often café style, with very different themes, including interviews, and maybe guest speakers. See our website for more details.
