County Durham Christian Life Centre (CDCLC)

Our mission is to "Transforming COUNTY DURHAM by building a CHRIST CENTRED, BIBLE BASED & SPIRIT FILLED Church that CONNECTS us to GOD, COMMUNITY & PURPOSE”

We are an Elim Pentecostal Church with a heart to serve the whole of County Durham. We are a community dedicated to following Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, loving our local area and living life with purpose.

CDCLC is a contemporary Christian Church that believes completely in the hope found in the saving grace of Jesus. We are passionate about building the local Church through extravagant worship, bible centred teaching, Holy Spirit led prayer and reaching out to our local community. We want to give people the opportunity to respond to the Gospel, to hear of the hope found in Jesus and to grow in their faith in, knowledge of and relationship with God.

CDCLC began in October 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, when Jamie (our Lead Pastor) felt called to plant a Church in his home area of Consett. Jamie is a former Director of Youth for Christ in the North East, has a degree in Theology, Ministry & Mission from Durham University (where he now works training leaders for ministry) and has previously served as a Campus & Service Pastor at Newcastle Christian Life Centre (Later Hillsong) a large Church in Newcastle. Jamie is married to Helen (who serves as our Kids Ministry Lead) and they have an adorable young son called John. ​

CDCLC joined Elim Pentecostal Churches, a 'growing movement of Christian congregations in the UK and Ireland' in April 2022. Elim's deep pentecostal heritage and passion for evangelism and the local Church beautifully aligned with the heart of CDCLC providing deeper accountability and support.​

CDCLC began our first extension service in February 2024, when our Durham Connect gathering starting meeting in Durham City centre.
