We are a small, friendly fellowship at which you will find a very warm welcome. Our aim is to bring glory to God by growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by testifying to the grace of the gospel of God. The ministry of the church includes regular biblical exposition, outreach to the local community with a commitment to work with children and young people, and support of mission overseas. We seek in all our varied activities to engage with Almighty God and to encourage one another. Downe Baptist Church is part of the Association of Grace Baptist Churches and holds to traditional reformed doctrines.

Worship & Services

Morning service
Sunday, 10:30
Including Big Questions for Little Boys and Girls during the morning service (adults can listen too!) and later the younger children go out for their own Sunday School (up to 10 yrs old).
Evening service
Sunday, 17:00
From time to time we have a more informal style service in the evening (more singing, open prayer etc.) Roughly once a month we have a short focus on the persecuted church.
Midweek prayer meeting and Bible study
Wednesday, 19:45
On the 1st Wednesday of the month, we meet in members' homes. Once a month we focus specifically on mission work, with a short film and time for prayer.
