St Andrew's Parish Church with Brydekirk Parish Church

Church of Scotland
Congregation: 170 adults (100 under 18)

St. Andrew's Parish Church of Scotland is set within a former market town in south west Scotland close to motorway and railway networks. The parish population is around 4,000, with a congregational roll of 760. An average of 170 attend Sunday Morning Worship and 15 at the monthly evening (Communion) service. The welcoming fellowship seeks to be relevant to society and welcomes ecumenical partnerships. Music is led mainly from the organ and piano. Our praise band plays at the monthly all-age service. Activities include worship, outreach, fellowship and pastoral care. World church engagement is mainly with Ekwendeni Mission Station, Malawi through our Meals for Malawi project, with Tearfund and with the relief organisation Blythswood Care for Body Soul.
