About Us:

St George's is a preaching church in the style and pattern based on reformation principles of justification by faith alone and nothing except Christ and Him crucified.  We are committed to listening to what God has to say to us through His Word, the Bible, and use the Book of Common Prayer for many of our services.  Tithing is taught and practised to finance the work.  Regular organ recitals bring us into a culture clientèle from a wide area of Durham, Northumberland and beyond. Overseas missionary support is a major concern.
