In 1812 Rev Benjamin Hayter founded the original Congregational Chapel. The present building dates from 1840 and in 1996 was extensively refurbished. While retaining many of its original features the interior is now light and airy and has carpet throughout with comfortable chairs for flexibility. We are a warm and friendly fellowship and welcome all visitors and families to our services. We seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the words and actions of all our members. Our mission is to make the Gospel relevant in our local community and to reach out to the wider Church and continue to serve the village of which we have been a part for over 190 years. |
