Our church was built in 1935 about 1/2 mile from the town centre to replace the old church building in the town. We were a Congregational Church until the United Reformed Church was formed. Our surroundings are delightful, with pleasant gardens, spacious parking and two hard tennis courts. Our neighbourhood is mostly residential, with a population of mixed age but above national average. The average age of our congregation is even higher, although we have some younger members. We aim to be a friendly church free of doctrinal hang-ups, embracing new forms of worship and activity, while emphasising quality in such areas as service order, content and music, charitable giving and service to the community.
