St James the Great

Winscombe

St James the Great parish church is situated in a beautiful part of North Somerset on the Mendip Hills. The community of 4,000 has one of the country's highest proportions of retired people. Our congregation is made up of people from all walks of life and all age groups. Our worship reflects these people's diverse needs, from Taize services to Rock Communions! We want to see more people following Jesus and accepting Him as their Saviour. Our Mission is: To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God; To encourage, teach and nurture new worshippers; and To respond to human need by loving service. We welcome visitors and new members very warmly and look forward to serving you.
