Highfields Church came into being in 1986 and has grown to a congregation of 600 on a Sunday morning. Two other churches have also been transplanted during that period. A full time staff and an army of volunteers run a large, dynamic and constantly changing programme of ministries and activities to reach both the local community and the city. Highfields Church is itself a community of communities with people of all ages and all nations part of the family. The main emphases of the church are Bible teaching and mission so the vision statement, "Making and maturing disciples of Christ," is at the heart of everything that happens from music to mission teams, schools work and social action projects.
