Christchurch, Thame
(Methodist and United Reformed)

Thame

Christchurch, Thame, is a welcoming church, formed in 1972 by the joining of the long-established Congregational and Methodist churches in the town. The only church in the town centre, it is used by a number of community groups, including the Concert Band, a mother and toddler group, "The Net" youth club and educational groups. In 2005 the major project to remodel the Victorian entrance; taking away the steps, creating a street-level foyer and installing a lift and new staircases inside, together with a toilet for the disabled, was completed. We want our building to express the invitation of the gospel to all, as we seek also to do through our worship and fellowship week by week.
