St Wilfrid's, Halton

Halton, Leeds

We are a welcoming, inclusive, warm and friendly congregation serving the local community in Halton. We worship in the modern catholic tradition, with Eucharistic vestments, and incense used on Festivals. Our liturgy is Common Worship (Order One in modern language), with additional services on weekdays. A mix of tradition and modern hymns is sung, accompanied by pipe organ or piano. The church, built in 1939, designed by Randall Wells, is a striking and beautiful building in the modern idiom but with strong Arts and Crafts influences and art by Eric Gill and others. Our service on the first Sunday each month is a youth mass with a music group. You will be very welcome.
